As the population of the Crossville area of DeKalb County, Alabama began to grow during the late nineteenth century there was an increasing need for a new Baptist church. Early conveners held meetings and revivals in several homes and public locations in an effort to establish the first congregation. On August 20th, 1894, Union Grove Baptist Church was organized.
Since then, much has changed at Union Grove, but our commitment to reaching Crossville and the rest of the world with the good news of the gospel has remained the same.
